E-Governance and its Advantages

E-Governance is defined as “the use of information technology to free movement of information to overcome the physical bounds of traditional paper and physical based systems”. It is also “the use of technology to enhance the access to and delivery of government services to benefit citizens, business partners and employees.” These definitions pretty much sum up the role played by technology in e-Governance. With the use of most modern technology such as internet, WAN, WWW and mobile networking, governments all over the world have successfully improved the relationship between them and the people. With e-governance the interaction has become more swift, transparent, comfortable, efficient and economical.
